This research domain has the purpose of carrying out studies that aim at the conservation of natural resources, including the measurement, dynamics and management of forest ecosystems, water resources management, floristic studies, phyto-sociology, dendrochronology, ecophysiology, forest germination, geoprocessing techniques, biomass and carbon, harvesting, transport and industrialization of forest products.
Management of Planted Forests
The aim of this research domain is to carry out studies related to the production and sustainable use of forest products in the areas of forest mensuration, growth and yield, optimization, management and studies of biomass, silvicultural techniques, agroforestry systems, water resources management, geoprocessing, diseases of forest species, pest management, economic evaluation, harvesting and transportation, ergonomics and safety at work, industrialization of forest products and industrial waste.
