The Graduate Degree Program in Forest Sciences has access to UNICENTRO’s integrated library system, which has three main libraries located on the Guarapuava (Santa Cruz and Cedeteg) and Irati campuses. The libraries have the following collections: reference works, books, pamphlets, periodicals, monographs, dissertations, theses, maps, multimedia materials (DVDs and CD-Roms) with 109,171 titles and 147,108 copies, and 41,008  newspaper issues.

It can be consulted through the site: http://unicentro.phlnet.com.br, including the libraries of the Irati Campus, Santa Cruz Campus, CEDETEG Campus, Advanced Campus of Prudentópolis, Advanced Campus of Pitanga, Advanced Campus of Laranjeiras do Sul, Advanced Campus of Chopinzinho, Extension of Mallet and Extension of Coronel Vivida. The classification system used is the Dewey Decimal (CDD). All the main UNICENTRO libraries have MULTISYSTEMS security system based on antennas and magnetized protective labels. As of 2009, the Program Personal Home Library – PHL Program was implemented to replace WINISIS in the library. PHL is a specially-developed system for the administration of collections and services of libraries, information centers and museums made available online. It offers better service to the users and integrates the databases of the institution’s libraries into the same system.

The UNICENTRO libraries offer the following services:

  • Access to the collection via the PHL system, available on the Internet (http://unicentro.phlnet.com.br).
  • Repository of Theses and Dissertations produced at UNICENTRO, at http://tede.unicentro.br/.
  • Other services: home loan, loan between libraries (EEB), services of alert, assistance and instruction in the use of the library, commutation, consultation of the catalog and reservations through the Internet.
  • Access to the CAPES Journal Portal.

The library on the Irati Campus currently has a collection of 38,739 titles and 50,438 copies, of which 688 are titles of periodicals, 25,619 titles of books and 220 titles of theses. It has 3,241 titles and 3,707 copies in the area of Agricultural Sciences, of which 739 are periodicals in the Forestry Engineering area.
